Alison Banchero is a passionate and experienced voice and piano instructor offering lessons that blend independent study with creativity, musicianship, and a lifelong love of making music. With over five years of teaching students of all ages and skill levels, Alison’s approach is student-centered, supportive, and rooted in both technical growth and joyful exploration.

A proud Pacific Northwest native, Alison grew up in Bothell and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music with Honors from Central Washington University in 2021, where she studied both jazz and classical voice and piano. Her talent and originality as a composer were recognized nationally when she was featured in Downbeat Magazine in 2022 for her original work.

With over 15 years of playing experience, Alison is a seasoned performer and versatile artist. She’s fronted several bands in the Seattle area and currently performs both solo and with her band. A former blues singer, past-life coffeehouse songwriter, and recovering composer, Alison now writes music that lives somewhere between those worlds—emotive, dynamic, and full of character. Whether performing a heartfelt ballad or a crowd-pleasing cover, she brings passion, playfulness, and authenticity to every note.

When she’s not performing or composing, Alison finds profound joy in helping her students grow. She encourages her students to connect with music beyond lessons—through performance, collaboration, and creative discovery.

Scheduling & Lesson Info

Alison offers in-home (traveling) lessons on Sundays and Mondays, and studio lessons at her Greenlake location from Tuesday through Thursday. When inquiring, please provide a range of preferred times to support flexible scheduling.

Lessons are billed monthly.

For students under 10, 30-minute lessons are recommended. Based on progress, 45-minute lessons may be suggested after a one-month evaluation. Teens and adults typically take 45- or 60-minute lessons, determined in collaboration with Alison based on goals and experience.

Rates and Lesson Policies 

Lesson payments must be made before the start of the scheduled lesson time. If payment is not received, your slot will be forfeited. 

$60 for 30 minute

$80 for 45 minute

$100 for 60 minute

*If travel exceeds 1.5 mile radius from Greenlake, a $5 travel charge is added. 

CANCELLATION POLICY:

At least 48 hours notice is required to receive a makeup. No-shows and lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours notice are not eligible for a make up. Tuition is not refundable, transferable or credited.
